How it works
Connect, set your voice, ship every locale.
Three steps. Built on Shopify's official Translations API. Translation memory and per-market overrides are core, not add-ons.
Connect your Shopify store
One-click install via the Shopify App Store. We read your products, collections, menus, pages, articles, theme strings, and translatable metafields through the official Translations API. No theme edits, no scripts in your store.
Set your brand voice and glossary
Tell Claude how your brand sounds. Lock the words that matter, like "fan" mapping to "ventilateur" in French. Optional per-market overrides for terminology variants like Sweaters in the US versus Jumpers in the UK.
Translate every surface, every locale
One click launches a new region. Edit a product, and only the changed strings re-translate across every active locale. Low-confidence translations land in a review queue. Everything else publishes automatically.
Translation memory built in
Every approved translation enters a per-shop translation memory keyed by source content. Identical or near-identical source content never re-translates. You pay for each unique string once. As your catalogue grows, accuracy compounds and costs amortise.
Delta sync is the other half of this. When you change a product title in Shopify, our webhook compares the new content digest against what we have stored. Only the strings that actually changed re-translate. The rest of the locale stays untouched.
Per-market overrides where they matter
Shopify Markets supports market-scoped translations through an optional marketId field. Loqua exposes this through your glossary, so you can say "in the French-Canadian market, this term translates differently from base French."
The fallback chain is automatic: market-specific language → base language → market default → base default → shop primary. You only override where it matters. The rest inherits cleanly.
Confidence-gated review queue
Every translation gets a confidence score from a second model pass that checks grammar, brand-voice fit, and glossary adherence. Translations at or above your threshold publish automatically. Translations below it queue for human approval. Approved edits feed back into the translation memory, so the system keeps learning what your brand sounds like.
The default threshold is 0.85, tunable per locale. You can also force a queue review for specific content types, like meta titles where SEO impact is high.
