Install
Connect your Shopify store.
Enter your store domain. Shopify handles approval and authentication. You land in Loqua's embedded admin, where one click seeds a working brand profile, glossary, and target locales.
What happens after you click Install
Shopify asks you to approve
Loqua requests the scopes listed below. You approve in one click. We never see your password and never request anything that lets us modify your store outside translations.
Loqua lands in your admin
The embedded app appears under Apps. The dashboard shows a four-step setup checklist with green check marks as each step is done.
Seed or start fresh
One click loads a sample brand profile and glossary (handy for testing). Or skip it and wire up your own from scratch. The translation engine is hot the moment your source locale is set.
What we ask access to
Loqua reads your translatable content (products, collections, menus, theme strings, pages, articles, metafields) and writes translations back. Specifically, these Shopify scopes:
read_translations,write_translations— read existing translations, write new onesread_locales,write_locales— see and enable shop localesread_markets— per-market translation variants via Shopify Marketsread_products,read_content,read_themes— pull source content to translateread_online_store_navigation,read_metaobjects— menus and structured custom fields
No write_products. No order or customer data. Uninstall removes every translation we registered on your store. No theme orphans, no hreflang leftovers.
Heads up: Loqua isn't on the Shopify App Store yet.
We're going through Built-for-Shopify certification. Until we're listed, Shopify shows an "unlisted app" warning during install. The app itself is reviewed and signed by Shopify already; the warning is purely about the App Store listing process. Click through and you're set.
