How we compare to Transcy
Transcy meters AI by the token, at roughly 1.2 tokens per word. Its top Global plan, at $599 a month, includes 5,000 tokens and then bills per token; the cheaper plans include far fewer. Everything past your balance is translated by Google at no extra cost. Loqua puts every string on Claude with your brand context, on every plan, with no per-word token meter.

Pricing questions
What counts as one translation?
One unique string in one locale. A product title in French is one translation. The same title, unchanged next month, costs nothing because translation memory serves it. Edit it and only the changed part re-translates.
Will I actually hit the cap?
For most stores, no. The first pass over your catalogue is the big one. After that, translation memory and delta sync mean only genuinely new or changed strings run through Claude, so the monthly count drops sharply. Each plan includes a generous monthly allowance, and for most stores the locale and SKU limits tend to matter before the translation count does.
What happens if I do go over?
We tell you before you get there and help you move to the right tier. We never silently bill per-token overage, and we never quietly drop part of your store onto a generic engine to stay inside a quota.
How am I billed?
Through Shopify, monthly, after a 14-day free trial. You approve the plan on the Shopify confirmation screen up front, and nothing is billed until the trial ends, so if you uninstall before then you pay nothing. Charges appear on your normal Shopify invoice in your store currency. Cancel anytime from your Shopify admin; uninstalling removes every translation we registered on your store.
